Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Calicut, established in 1965 and administered by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development offers education in a safe, friendly and unique style that encourages innovative, creative, independent thinking of children in addition to building their skills, academically, physically and personally. Owing to the dynamic, efficient, friendly and confident staff, the students discover fresh challenges and new experiences everyday to face academic and personal challenges and to develop skills in a supportive learning environment. This Vidyalaya has completed 40 years of glorious service in the field of education. Situated in a five acre land, far from the madding crowd amidst sylvan surroundings, the Vidyalaya possesses infrastructure for accommodating three sections from I Std to XII. The second shift came into being in 2004 as a result of great demand for Kendriya Vidyalayas as centres of excellence and all round development of children. The second shift functions as full fledged Vidyalaya-synergistically with the First Shift sharing the same infrastructure and facilities.From the Principal's Desk ...
